Al Sharpton does it again...

I was always curious at why Al Sharpton is referred to as a Reverend. A probable 2008 candidate who is supposed to love Jesus and treat everyone as equals now hates mormans.

"As for the one Mormon running for office, those that really believe in God will defeat him anyway, so don't worry about that. That's a temporary situation."

Not only is Sharpton the spokesperson for every African-American in America, he is now the spokesperson for anyone who believes in God. Personally, I haven't received this memo from the Sharpton scare group saying Jesus will strike me down if I don't send him money.

Amazingly enough, Mitt has just ignored this remark and moved on. Perhaps this so called man representing God can learn to forgive Don Imus for a slip of the tongue. We know that wont happen since the hypocrite wont make money by continuing to preach his hate.

It looks like the six million Mormans, probably wont be voting for you anytime soon. I'm sure if Al said something about Muslums he'd be fearing his life.

The Rundown...

  • Bob Novak keeps it real on Fred Thompson – “[people believe that Thompson] did such a good job as the district attorney of New York City that he deserves a chance to be president.” [Y & N]

  • Romney solidifies ever-changing stance on abortions. [Chippewa Valley]

So Which Is It Rudy???

....Seems like the 9/11 "hero" is confused.

He says he supports abortion rights to the New York Times but wouldn't directly answer the question about it to the Newsday.

Sounds like someone is flip-flopping to me.

Meanwhile Mitt Romney can't even keep his own house in order on the issue after some news organizations found his wife (which one?) contributed money to Planned Parenthood. If Romney can't keep his women in line, what's he going to do about Congress?

Taking another stab at it....

Another 2004 flunkee is going after the highest spot in the military. The four star retired general from Chicago threw is support by then Democratic Failure John Kerry.

Clark has been against the war in Iraq, but always for the war in Afghanistan. He's more of the right leaning democrats and once labled himself as a lonely Republican.

Ron Paul Wants the Job NOW!

In an attempt to provide separation from the other B-Team Republican nominees, Republican Congressman Ron Paul says it's time to impeach President George W. Bush.
"I would have trouble arguing that he's been a Constitutional President and once you violate the Constitution and be proven to do that I think these people should be removed from office."

Opining that the U.S. had entered a period of "soft fascism," Paul noted that the legacy of the Bush administration has been the total abandonment of Constitutional principles.

"Congress has generously ignored the Constitution while the President flaunts it, the courts have ignored it and they get in the business of legislating so there's no respect for the rule of law." said Paul.

Of course the Texas representative's comments were widely ignored in America but they were front page in Canada, where people apparently have a better understanding of the Constitution than most Americans (excluding Ron Paul)

Back from Vacation...

I took a good week trip with the wifey to the Dominican Republic. Why is this relevant? I came back with a realization of how poor another country can be and how great we have it here. So what does this have to do with anything? After driving through the countryside and seeing how people lived, I have a new sense of respect for the average person there. The poverty we have here is a joke compared to the folks there.

Most people in the world live like this and it's sad, but what can we do about it? Tax people to death and send money to corrupt countries? I've always had the feeling that we shouldn't send foreign aid and force charity on tax payers. I felt pretty good handing out cash down there to the poor, more than signing over a tax return to Uncle Sam.

Obama is talking about renewing our global relationships, which is great, but we still shouldn't be sending cash to save people.

Iraq? Maybe this trip could alter my view on the war...

Details later....
